"A Queen would feel compelled to admire the skill of the execution, before arranging one"
First Regular Appearance |
The Day of the Doctor |
When the Tenth Doctor attempted to combat a Zygon scheme to invade Elizabethan England, he found that somehow in the process he'd manage to propose to - and be accepted by - the Queen herself! Elizabeth adored the Doctor, marrying him at the Tower of London, but she was no weak and feeble woman, capable of making tough actions in the name of her kingdom, or even playing a brave and dangerous game with alien invaders.
The only thing capable of truly upsetting her was being abandoned by her new husband - for when an earlier version of the Doctor found himself in London 37 years later, she was still on the war path!
